Finance Associate
Oxford University Development (North America), Inc. (OUDNA) has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Associate to work with a dynamic development team in its office in Midtown Manhattan. The Finance Associate will report to the Finance Manager and work closely with the Director of Finance to support OUDNA’s fundraising mission in North America.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process daily donations, including bank deposits
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of general ledger in QuickBooks with bank statements
- Automate monthly reports to the UK Development Offices
- Generate acknowledgment letters for donors
- Answer questions and provide assistance to donors via email and telephone
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of Audit and Board reports
- Reconcile credit card transactions with receipts and record in QuickBooks
- Assist the Director of Finance with Accounts Payable
- Shared phone reception duties and other light administrative support
- Help the OUDNA team with alumni events, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 1-2 years of experience
- A self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team environment
- Superior attention to detail while managing time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of data privacy and handling confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of QuickBooks a plus
