Donor Recognition

Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors

We are delighted to recognize the generosity of our donors in a variety of ways. This may include an invitation to join the prestigious Chancellor’s Court of Benefactors.

The distinction of membership of the Court of Benefactors is conferred by the Chancellor on those who have been outstandingly generous towards the University.

The Court meets each autumn in Oxford and offers benefactors the chance to engage with the leadership at Oxford, to hear from our world-leading academics and also to visit some of our pioneering schools and departments. These meetings also allow benefactors to meet other members of the Court and to gain a greater understanding of the life and work of the University and the colleges.

Vice-Chancellor's Circle

The Vice-Chancellor’s Circle was launched in 2009 to recognize those individual, foundation and corporate benefactors who have provided generous support to the collegiate University.

In addition to receiving regular communications from the Vice-Chancellor and other senior officers, members will be invited to special meetings of the Vice-Chancellor’s Circle. These occasions will showcase the breadth of intellectual talent at Oxford and the significant contribution to society of alumni and friends. The Circle will engage members in the diverse, ever-vibrant life and work of the collegiate University.
