Meeting Minds Global 2021

12-17 April

Access the Event!

Meeting Minds Global live sessions are now over but you can still access the

"On Demand" recordings until 23 May 2021.

Oxford alumni are truly global, and now, so is Meeting Minds! For 2021 we are creating the opportunity for alumni around the world to come together and experience an array of exciting and innovative talks and connect with each other. The six day event features content streamed live across three time zones, from Hong Kong (HKT), London (BST) and New York (EDT) with speakers sharing their experiences and expertise on a diverse range of topics.

This year we will be featuring sessions from a wide range of disciplines, from science and technology, the medical sciences, humanities, the social sciences, including:

  • Profesor Sarah Gilbert and Walter Isaacson in Conversation: The Oxford COVID-19 Vaccine and Science Making History;
  • Oxford’s Chancellor and Michael Sandel conversing on The Tyranny of Merit;
  • Insight into rhetoric of the Ming era with Professor Tian Yuan Tan;
  • A sustainability panel exploring the big ideas that Oxford scientists are working on;
  • and... how to monitor penguins in the Antarctic!

Check back often, as information will continue to be added as more speakers and sessions are confirmed!
