Oxford's alumni.
Our April 2025 book is "The Super Upside Factor"
by Daniel S. Kang (Wolfson College, 2020).
Daniel Shin Un Kang is the co-founder of Y-Combinator startup. Prior to his startup, he was a venture capitalist at Softbank Vision Fund in both Silicon Valley and London. During his tenure, he served formally as a Board Observer to Auto1 Group in Berlin. Previously, he was a consultant at Oliver Wyman and a pilot sponsored by the Department of National Defence of Canada.
Daniel is the author of The Super Upside Factor, published with Wiley & Sons. He's a writer and speaker invited to share his thoughts at organizations including McGill University, Seoul National University, Medium, and New Enterprise Associates.
Daniel received his Bachelor’s of Commerce from McGill University and Master’s of Public Policy from the University of Oxford. In his down time, he enjoys writing pop music, drinking coffee, and spending time with his family.
